Rohini Vasa Chakra also known as Samundara Chakra is is very helpful method to predict about the quality and quantity of rainfall in a particular Samvat. It has first found mention in the classical text ‘Varsh Prabhodh’ by Meghvijay Gani.

Rohini Vaas / Samudra Chakra

 In Samundra Chakra ( Sea Chart) 28 Nakshtras are used  i.e. Abhijit is also included. Note the Nakshtra / Constellation of Moon on the day of Sun`s ingress into Aries (i.e. Mesha Sankranti). Starting from it 2x4 = 8 Nakshtra are earmarked for sea, 2x4 =8 for Sea Shore, 1x4=4 for Mountains, and 2x4 = 8 for Junction (sandhi) thus 28 constellations are established. The place where Rohini is established is called Rohini vasa or Rohini Residence.
